Types of Therapy:
I utilize techniques and modalities from evidenced based practices such as Motivational Interviewing (finding internal motivation for change), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (looking at the linkages of thought patterns that are maladaptive and how they relate to emotions and behaviors we would like to modify), Psychoeducation, and am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) - refiling memories away that have gotten ‘stuck’; alleviate emotional charge of past, current and future incidences.
